Croatia ~ Part 4 - Camp Igor, Seline

August Sunday 25 - Thursday 29

After Split we needed a few days of relaxation and a few days to slow down. We found a really nice quiet campsite on the ocean and have been just having a great time.

The boys and I have been doing some school work. Although we are on our family trip, mom and dad are trying to home school us. Some days are going better than others.

We went for a small hike one day and found the cutest kittens in the whole world! There were three of them - one for each of us!!! We stayed and petted them until my dad said- NO! you are not getting kittens in Croatia. There were a few tears...

The boys met a really nice friend, his name is Robin. He is German and on holiday with his Grandparents. I think he is super excited to have some other boys to play with.

They played water balloons and decorated blow up plastic gloves. Brendan and Liam collected shells and made him a necklace, and of course have all been swimming together.

I am getting really good at diving to the bottom of the ocean to collect shells. I have found some really beautiful clams. Brendan is really good at finding shells, he has been spending hours at the beach sorting out the different types of shells. We are tying to find enough good ones to make some necklaces with.

Earlier this summer we had a different blow up mattress, but it got too many holes in it to fix, so we were going to throw it out, but then instead we have been using it as a water floating toy! It kind of deflates after a bit, but it has been super fun to swim with. The boys are getting really good at swimming, they have been swimming farther and farther and can swim a long way on their own now.

There are fig trees everywhere in this campsite and the Figs are getting ripe. The lady who owns the campsite brought us some and Liam loves them!

Here we are jumping off the end of the pier into the water. We've been doing it all week. It's super fun.

I got a bit sick – my mom thinks it was from too much sun, and I’ve been taking it easy and just relaxing and doing a bit of swimming to cool off.

What a great few days.

Thank you Croatia for your beautiful mountains, clear skies, hot weather, and lovely blue oceans.

Hvala Vam Hrvatska!

Tia and Mari
